Welcome aboard !!!!!

This website is a work in progress, just like Freya, so watch your step and excuse the mess.

The story begins,

I purchased Freya while I was living in New York City and hauled her down to North Carolina the following weekend to store her until I moved back to NC.  I started work on her in 2009, and launched her in Oriental NC in June that same year.

So far,,,,

I am very pleased with her. She wont win races but when the wind gets up she will move right along. She is very stable. I was always comfortable during the variety of weather conditions I experienced while sailing on Pamlico sound. She has a small cockpit, but all the space I gain in the cabin makes it well worth the trade off. The combination of the short cockpit, the nearly 8 foot beam, and the full keel that allows 5 foot head room, makes for a large amount of cabin space in a boat this size.

I went sailing for a month in June of 2009, then for just two weeks in 2010, and another month or so in the spring of 2011.

Now its fall of 2011 and I am ready to leave NC waters. I am heading to Florida for the winter.
